The years have gone so quickly,
Since we went our separate ways,
I thought you’d gone forever,
While I counted out the days,

I tried to just forget you,
It was impossible to do,
Cause every night your in my dreams,
My love is just for you.

My life just fell to pieces,
I couldn’t concentrate,
You wasn’t just my lover,
But also my soul mate,

I understand the reason,
You thought that it was right,
But four short months on down the line,
You would have won the fight.

We laughed and loved, it felt so good,
When you were in my life,
It should have been forever babe,
You should have been my wife.

But now we are in touch again,
My life has just got better,
I found my girl on Faceboo,
We talk if just by letter.

I’d like to make it more than that,
But I know that’s just not on,
For now you have a family,
To pin your hopes upon.

If all I’ll be is just a friend,
Then I’ll be satisfied,
Its better to have loved and lost,
Than never to have tried.
