Friendships Ebb and Flow

Friendships often come and go,
Some are dropped, some fade over time,
Others are there to show us a pathway,
Some are merely to guide us along it,
A rare one shares the highs and lows,
With each friendship we know,
Good friendships last a lifetime,
And can be picked up and moved forward,
Without even knowing they were left behind.
