When I Was a Child

Posted in Children on August 21st, 2008

When I was a child, I thought they could do no wrong,
When I was a child, everyone seemed to get along.
When I was a child we were always together,
When I was a child, I thought it would last forever.
When I was a child, playing with my cousins was always fun,
When I was a child, my face always brightened by the beautiful sun.
When I was a child, I was young and free,
When I was a child, no pain or worries I could see.
When I was a child, I learned from my mistakes,
Now I am an adult, now my heart breaks.
